Religion neither guarantees nor prevents clarity.
Religious systems can support discipline, ethical orientation, and psychological readiness. They can also preserve teachings and provide language for inquiry. In this sense, religion can be supportive.
Confusion arises when religion is treated as either the source of liberation or its obstacle. Liberation does not result from adherence, nor is it prevented by participation. Understanding operates independently of religious form.
Religion functions at the level of practice, belief, and tradition. Clarity resolves misunderstanding at the level of understanding. These domains intersect but do not replace one another.
Recognizing why religion neither saves nor blocks restores balance. Religion may remain present or fall away, but clarity stands on its own, unaffected by acceptance or rejection.
