Primary Reference / Psychological Conditions Behind Seeking / Incompleteness

Incompleteness:

—————————

Incompleteness appears as a sense that something is missing.

What appears missing may differ.

It may be a relationship.

It may be an achievement.

It may be an understanding.

It may be a condition of life.

When completion is expected from what appears missing, incompleteness can give rise to seeking.

Seeking then moves toward what is expected to provide that completion.

The object of seeking may differ, but its significance comes from the completion expected through it.

Recognizing this structure clarifies why a sense of incompleteness can continue to shape seeking even as the objects of seeking change.
